Josh Lucas – Campaign Manager, Treasurer, and Community Advocate Josh Lucas, a proud native of Fort Worth, Texas, is a community leader deeply committed to justice and equity. He currently serves as the campaign manager and treasurer for Cindy Stormer in her race for District Judge, where his strategic leadership and dedication to fairness are driving forces behind the campaign’s success.
Lucas is also pursuing a Master’s in Divinity at Brite Divinity School, the most progressive theological institution in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. His studies at Brite are a testament to his commitment to exploring the intersection of faith, social justice, and community leadership. This academic pursuit informs his work in the campaign, as well as his broader efforts to advocate for marginalized communities. In addition to his role in the Stormer campaign, Lucas serves on the board of The Justice Network of Tarrant County, where he co-chairs the Jail and Criminal Justice Reform Action Team.
He also works as the Community Ministries Coordinator for Broadway Baptist Church working with some Fort Worth’s most vulnerable unhoused neighbors, an institution known for its welcoming and affirming stance toward the LGBTQ community. His lifelong connection to Broadway Baptist, where he sings in the choir, underscores his dedication to both his faith and his community. Lucas’s combined experience in community advocacy, theological education, and campaign leadership positions him as a significant force for change in Fort Worth, working tirelessly to ensure that justice and equity are at the forefront of local leadership.
