Welcome to the Trinity River Book Festival (TRBF), a magnificent multicultural event established in 2022 and held annually in September during National Literacy Month. Our professional team at TRBF is dedicated to engaging readers, supporting authors, and cultivating new readership while showcasing the literary heritage of Fort Worth. With a focus on integrating a healthy lifestyle into our festivities, we kick off the festival with the invigorating Run-to-Read, featuring a 5K race and a 1-mile fun run. This unique experience combines the love for literature with physical well-being, creating an energizing atmosphere.

This year the Trinity River Book Festival will take place on Saturday, September 14 from 8:00 am-2:00 pm. The event will kick off with Run-To-Read 5K/1K Run/Walk at 8:00 am, followed by Mega Book Club Meet-Up, two stages of engaging author presentations, live performances and Poetry in the Park. Also, there will be children’s story time, author booths, food vendors and more. There will be over 30 authors covering a spectrum of genres including middle school and children picture books, young adults, romance, mystery, thrillers, sci-fi, western, cooking, self-help, faith and inspiration, poetry, memoirs, motivation and more.  With a diverse range of panels and discussions covering various topics, attendees can expect an enlightening and enriching experience at our festival. Whether you are an avid reader, aspiring writer, or simply interested in immersing yourself in the world of books, TRBF offers an unparalleled opportunity to celebrate the books and connect with like-minded enthusiasts. Join us as we celebrate the power of literacy and the joy of reading at the Trinity River Book Festival.

TRBF is proud to be under the umbrella of the American Reading Council, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization focused on promoting literacy and cultivating readers and engaging avid readers.  TRBF is funded through donations and sponsorships:

Join us on this literary journey and let’s celebrate the rich tapestry of stories that define the Missouri River Literary Culture. Your donations make a difference in advocacy,  protecting freedom of expression, truth,  promoting literacy and keeping the Missouri River literary culture thriving.
