B. Marie is the gifted author of the wonderful, new children’s book series, My Friend Ookie. The series’ debut storybook, My Friend Ookie Can, is a brilliantly colored depiction of youthful exuberance and the unyielding, affirming power offriendship.
As a lifelong creative writer, B. Marie began crafting imaginative stories at a very early age, which her loving parents encouraged. She was inspired to write her My Friend Ookie series based on her oldest daughter’s vivid imagination.
B. Marie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, a historically black college/university, and a Master of Arts degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
